Zoophilia is a paraphilia. The DSM 5 considers zoophilia as a paraphilic disorder. In zoophilia, sexual excitement comes from fantasies, urges and sexual activities which include animals.

Which forms are the most common?

The most common forms of zoophilia are the 2nd, 3rd and 8th. The least common are the 6th and the 7th.

Is there a treatment for zoophilic disorder?

Yes, but people with zoophilic disorder rarely seek psychological help. Most often, a desire to change comes from a depressive mood. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy helps not acting out on zoophilic fantaisies.
